Cheap Flip Flops or Slippers

I really think this is a cute idea...I know Dave Tutera would say no flip flops at a wedding, but the basket looks very cute, plus I'm sure the ladies would love you for the flip flops.

I bought my BMs flipflops at Hobby Lobby for $1.99 each BUT if you want to order in bulk for all the guests go to www.dollartree.com they have a few diferent colors combos and you get a few different styles in each color or design.

Awesome - So how many do I buy? I have 110 guests invited and it's an even split between guys & gals...

Dollar Tree is out of stock and they have been for several months. You can still find them on their site but when you add them to bag it notifies you. I'm actually on this same search myself Marie so let me know if you find anything and I will do the same for you.

As far as how many to get, I wouldn't really include the men in your number. Maybe get a few extra pair for them, but it will most likely be the women dying to kick off their heels!

While the price of $2/each isn't bad, the almost $30 in shipping is steep!

I live in the area so I messaged him that I'd like to pick up instead of shipping. If he'll allow a pick up then I'm buyin' 'em cuz for $2 /pair they seem pretty nice.

How many do you think I need? 40 Pair should like too many? Should I get some for the guys in case their feet hurt too? LOL

Oh awesome Marie! If you can pick them up go for it because those are a nicer quality flip flop. If all 110 of your guests show, I would suggest having 50- 60 pairs of flip flops. I am planning on buying 50 and I am getting 5 that are men's sizes. However, we are buying Vera Bradley/Polo flip flops for our wedding party.

Lady...I got my flipflops at Hobby Lobby for my BMs for only $1.50 a pair. They come in TONS of colors! which would come to $60

No hobby lobby around here. Boo-Hoo the closest one is about an hour and a half away.

I know a bride who did this and she got hers at Old Navy...I know that they have a ton of colors and I think they were $1-$2 each...

Old Navy they're 2 for 5 but they have a day where they are $1. But you'd have to go early in the morning and I would bring people to help get the sizes you need.

I'm happy with these - they come out to $1.75/pair and from the looks of the pictures a little nicer than the rubber ones. The pick up location is about a 20 min drive so I think it's a win/win. :-)

Who knows - maybe I'll bling them out and add some peacock feathers LOL. I've been bedazzling everything else lately

I was gonna say old navy has a day every year where they sell the flip flops for 1.00...you have to get there early because they sell out pretty quick.

I just purchased a pair from Walmart for $2.28 but I have gotten some from Old Navy for $1.00 so I will be heading over there today to see if they have some. Wanted to see if I could create something out of them I will be posting the pic soon

I'm kickin' my self in the butt - i bought myself 6 pairs of new flip flops at the Christmas tree store in August for 50 cents a pair. I spent 20 minutes looking through that bin - I bought every pair they had in size 6. 5,000,000,000 pairs of Medium & Large. Could have saved a ton if I had been wedding planning then.

Marie...THey def look like good quality flip flops. I think they are a thoughtful touch for your guests. I think what makes a wedding, no matter what the budget or venue is are the personal touches, especially those that directly benefit your guests. Your guests are going to have happy feet.

They have that basket on sale at Michaels for 40% off. I bought it last night for Cate's programs. Of course, I am going to glam it up a bit.
