How are you displaying your table assignments

KNL, on April 23, 2014 at 10:17 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 31

I've decided I'm going to do table assignments, and I'm looking into ideas of how to display it in an easy to see way for guests. I won't be doing assigned seats so I won't be having any escort cards. I'm thinking of either a very large frame with a big poster printed with the assignments but wanted to see what others have done too.

Table assignments are usually still done with escort cards? We are having the cards with Mr. Joe Schmoe Table 3 written on it, and then a little map with where table 3 is located will be displayed next to the escort cards so people can easily find their assigned table.

Escort cards will be pined to a cork board and alphabetized by last name for people to easily find it.

We're going to have escort cards mounted in a big frame with "table number" and the list of names at each table.

I'm doing a table assignment set up as well and was wondering the same thing without having to kill a few branches for escort cards. I'm watching listing this. I saw a blog yesterday about a bride who used a mirror. Looking for it now at work.

I'm using a frame and printing table assignments on nice cardstock. Each frame will be a table assignment. Then I'm just placing this baby on an easel and calling it a day.

I've thought about the collage idea as well. I think if I go the frame/collage route, I'll probably have at least 2 set up on either side of the room so I don't have 100 people waiting in line to figure out where they're sitting.

I was going to do the frame thing too (still might) but someone mentioned it's way easier/faster to do something that is alphabetical. Just something to consider...I think the frame/collage is super cute and our wedding isn't huge so I still might do it. Either way, not the end of the world if it takes a few more seconds to find your name...

We're doing escort cards to tell people what table they're assigned to. The cards are "tickets" to a baseball game and the tables are named after stadiums. My stepdad built us a miniature stadium to hold the tickets.

Our favors are going to be whiskey glasses. I'm going to use different colored glittery clothespins to identify the food choice and these will secure the escort cards to the whiskey glasses. They'll be lined up alphabetically on a table for guests as they enter the reception. Sort of like this. Link/tutorial from www.somethingturquoise.com/2013/10/15/diy-glitter-clothespins/

Oh I really like the glass idea. I made bling toasting glasses so this could be a possibility.

We are skipping the escort cards because they just get left and thrown away. Our florist offers a beautiful scroll and after the wedding they roll it up and put it in a keepsake container! We will later frame it and put wedding pictures on it!

Thanks girls! My stepdad is so creative and he just ran with the idea. There are three sections to the stadium and a field that they sit on top of (complete with bases, a pitchers mound, etc).

We are doing escort cards attached to mini-gumball machines and placing them on a table at the entrance didn't order enoguh for favors so this way each "singleton" or "couple" can have one

I did escort cards (assigned tables only) and hung ribbon across an old window and used clothes pins to hang the escort cards

We're using bookmarks, because our wedding is literature themed.

We didn't do escort cards. We just used a big frame with fabric inside that we borrowed from our decorator and pinned the table assignments to it.
