Tall centerpieces or lanterns? Show me yours!

Danielle, on January 26, 2015 at 3:47 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 15

I love tall floral centerpieces, but my other option is lanterns. My venue is an old 1700's inn.

Why not alternate between the two? they would look lovely together

I agree with alternating. When you can't decide, DO BOTH!

I bought lanterns that I love and plan to do a similar layout as your top pic. I'll be alternating with another layout-submerged floating candles in vases, or floral centerpiece that fits my budget. Lanterns are so gorgeous to me now, even though it wasn't something I originally though much about. Go with both!!!

Do them both, they are both gorgeous. Too hard to just pick one or the other.

Ah, I love lanterns AND tall centerpieces!!! We are having lanterns lining our aisle. We are doing a mix of tall centerpieces and short centerpieces at our wedding. I also agree with altering these!! It will add extra interest to your decor Smiley smile

I prefer the lantern one, but mixing's a great idea!

@annakay511 lanterns will be beautiful lining the aisle. I think we are going to do something like this since our wedding is outside.

Oooh I would definitely do both! Or if you want lanterns in another way you could have your bridesmaids carry lanterns instead of bouquets, we did that for my sister's wedding!

The first image is my tall centerpiece (I love tall ones), the second is how it'll look on our table, the last picture is the lantern I carried for my sister's wedding.

I vote the lantern! I hate tall centerpieces because I feel like they prevent people from interacting across the table. I am doing a couple candles (shorter than 7 inches) on a mirror plate and calling it good.

I love tall centerpieces so I chose to have all tall but alternating those 2 would look gorgeous as well

We are having a small reception, only 7 tables plus our sweetheart. I agreed to 2 rectangular tables and 5 circles, the layout works really well in the space. Maybe the tall centerpieces on the rectangular ones and lanterns elsewhere. Thanks everyone!

Doing a mix of 10 and 10 on ours....half will be tall with baby's breath and white hydrangea (about 6 in each arrangement) and the other ten will be shorter with three cylinders as shown with only the tallest of the three holding a white calla lily and the other two will have a floating candle

Half and half is always great! Best of both worlds!
