1842 Inn is a boutique hotel and wedding venue located in Macon, Georgia. Offering expansive views and a charming interior, the hotel provides a one-of-a-kind setting for couples to say “I do.” The 1842 Inn combines a country inn ambience with the amenities of a grand hotel and is situated in the heart of Macon’s historic district. John Gresham, a former mayor of Macon, built the house in 1842. He lived there until it was purchased by the B.F. Adams family in 1900. The Adams family made numerous renovations to the property, including extending the front porch, adding columns, and installing parquet floors.

This venue offers various indoor and outdoor options to host weddings and other special events. Four welcoming public parlors, one with a grand piano, are available and dwell within a Greek-Revival-style house and an adjoining Victorian house. The two buildings share a courtyard and gardens. In case of inclement weather, the front lawn and courtyard can be tented to provide shelter for intimate receptions or cocktail hours.
