A Floral Affair works specifically within a budget chosen by the Client. There are no minimum orders. Working directly from Pinterest Boards or Inspiration pictures, A Floral Affair chooses the appropriate blossoms that show both overall vision, while still maingining budget. A Floral Affair's designers love fostering their creativity. No idea is too outrageous or too boring.
In Kelly's words: I LOVE my job. My work allows me an avenue to express my artistic vision, as well as, an opportunity to convey my Client's ideas. I love texture, color, and the unexpected element. I love being inspired by nature. Someone else may look at a stick and see just a stick, but to me it might be the inspiration for my next centerpiece.

Best value for GORGEOUS wedding flowers in Tahoe!
I can't say enough good things about my experience working with Kelly for our wedding florals. From just a few photos and conversations she was able to completely blow us away with the final deliverables. Seriously, I cried when I saw my bouquet. Every inch of our venue was enhanced with Kelly's florals and skill and I can't believe how affordable her services were. Our guests were raving all night and the next day. Thank you so much, Kelly! Incredibly Beautiful Florals For Our Wedding
We hired A Floral Affair for our wedding this June because Kelly is able to take your vision and turn it into a reality without completely blowing your budget. A lot of floral companies that I looked into have a minimum amount you have to hit before they will take your job, but Kelly was able to work within my budget and provide extremely gorgeous florals for our Lake Tahoe wedding. I got so many complements on the floral arrangements and I could not be more grateful to Kelly for all of her hard work. She is truly an artist and I couldn't recommend her more!

A true masterpiece
We were recommended A Floral Affair by our venue and from viewing her work absolutely loved what we saw. We gave Kelly Jo our vision and she killed it! From the moment I walked into the venue she was finishing up and I was speechless, it was even more beautiful than I envisioned. Kelly Jo truly has a keen eye and knows what she is doing. Wouldn't have it any other way and I am so grateful that Kelly Jo was our florist for our wedding day because it turned out even more beautiful than I imagined. Plus she does preservations and can't wait to get my flowers back once she's done. She did my friends preservation and they turned out so gorgeous! Best florist!

Why Floral Design? Kelly’s love of flowers started on a family vacation to Butchart Gardens in British Columbia, Canada. She was 6 years old and was awestruck by the beauty of the plants and the unique nature of each flower.
In High School, Kelly competed in Floriculture for Carson Valley FFA, which grew her knowledge of floral design, and prompted her to attended the Floral Design Institute in Portland, Oregon.
Kelly graduated in 2005 as a Certified Floral Designer and in 2012 became a Certified Wedding Floral Specialist. She also has a background in Art and Interior Design
Kelly has lived in Gardnerville for 29 years and loves having Tahoe and Reno as a playground. Weekend nature vacations inspire her work.
