We really enjoyed working with Acustik, they listen to our preferences and provided recommendations. We had wonderful musicians (Marcos Montaño, violinist and latin band, Acustica Latina) on our wedding day that made the day the great success that it was. My husband and I hired Acustik for our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception in April 2024 at Punta Islita in Costa Rica. We are pleased with the overall experience with the company!

We regularly communicated with Josue, the Executive Director of Acustik. We requested from him a solo guitarist for the ceremony and cocktail hour, and a DJ for the reception. Josue promptly sent us an array of different artists with different styles to choose from. All the guitarists and DJs had multiple videos demonstrating their talent and energy. This made it easy to pick Emanuel as our guitarist, and DJ Carlos for our reception.

Emanuel was wonderful during our ceremony and cocktail hour! He brought a lot of energy and absolutely nailed my song requests. We were thrilled and highly recommend him for a fun Costa Rica Wedding.

DJ Carlos was great too. He played all my requests and had a lot of energy. My only disappointment was that he went to the bathroom during a crucial transitional moment when he was meant to turn our group wedding guest picture with the photographer on the dance floor into a breakout dance song. Otherwise, Acustik and DJ Carlos were very organized when it came to making sure the songs for our dances, grand entrance, and reception requests were met. They sent us an extensive google form to fill out with every song we wanted (or did not want) played.

A couple downsides were that at important times during our wedding planning, we were handed off to different members of the company who seemed to not have all our information from the previous person we worked with, including one time that this occurred less than 2 weeks from wedding day. We unfortunately had to repeat a lot of our requests to different employees which was highly stressful when trying to plan a wedding in 5 months. Another problematic issue was the occasionally lengthy response times from the company via email. While these moments along the way were difficult to manage, my husband and I felt our experience with Acustik was positive overall and we recommend them for a beautiful and lively wedding or event in Costa Rica!
