A gorgeous waterfront wedding venue in Boston, Massachusetts, Aloft Boston Seaport District can accommodate a variety of wedding sizes and provides exceptional service that will ensure you and your guests have a memorable experience. Situated in the middle of the vibrant Seaport District, this venue is convenient to the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center and provides a plethora of amenities that will help make you and your guests feel welcome and comfortable.

Facilities and Capacity
Aloft Boston Seaport District has eight indoor event spaces that equal a generous 12,000 square feet, able to accommodate wedding ceremonies and receptions, as well as showers and engagement parties, for between five and 350 people. Their largest option, the Mann Ballroom, boasts 4,900 square feet of flexible space. There are also several other options that are well-suited for small, intimate gatherings. You and your wedding party will also be able to enjoy the get-ready suite for preparations or to relax before it’s time for you to walk down the aisle.

Cuisine
Aloft Boston Seaport District offers several options for your catering needs, including buffets and plated dinners, as well as stations, hors d’oeuvres, desserts, and cocktail receptions. Tastings are available so you can sample your menu selections prior to your event. The venue can provide full bar services, with open or cash bars serving a variety of house beers, wines, and liquors. Couples are welcome to bring cake from a favorite bakery.

Accommodations
Aloft Boston Seaport District is able to accommodate groups and out-of-town guests with their stylish, well-appointed guest rooms. The rooms feature signature beds and walk-in showers, as well as 42-inch LCD TVs and other modern amenities you and your guests will enjoy during your stay.

Amazing Venue!

We were the second wedding held at Aloft Boston Seaport and I will say that they delivered beyond our expectations! Honestly all of our guests raved about their experience, as did we! We first met with Carly Feldman who is the catering sales executive and developed such a special relationship with her that she stayed on our team through the whole process. We also worked with Jessica Perkins and Alexandra Guy (prior to her maternity leave) who were so responsive and accommodating to our every need. We cannot thank them enough for all of their hard work and for making out dream wedding happen. There are of course some kinks that needed to be worked out as they get their wedding business off of the ground, but they were very minor and everything that was included in their price for a wedding in downtown Boston was incredible!

The Aloft itself is definitely a cool, funky and modern venue as well that is different from a lot of hotels in the area. We were drawn to that and our guests commented how much they loved the vibe as well. I would be remiss without mentioning the head chef, Roberto Rosario who has the most personality of any chef I've ever met =) They knocked it out of the park with our tasting (which included certain parents that are a little hard to please) and our guests could not say enough about the food for the wedding event itself.

Speaking of the staff, beyond our core team mentioned above, everyone was so lovely and ready to help us in any way possible. They were truly a dream to work with.

I will also say in regards other reviews that they were very upfront with costs and there were no surprises for us in terms of our final bill. If I had any questions regarding any billing or related issue, they responded and clarified immediately. We were sent updates along the whole planning process so we were constantly aware of where we were in terms of pricing. I was also a very involved bride and felt very comfortable coordinating all of my vendors, etc. to help with my own vision. I think there needs to be an understanding that there will always be issues that come up in any wedding process, and I felt that the entire Aloft staff were very considerate and receptive in handling anything that came up along the way.

In summary I would say - do not be scared off by other reviews and RUN to this venue if you are interested, because I'm sure they will get busy and potentially not offer as many perks as we got =) My husband, family and I are forever grateful to them in helping to make our wedding day the most memorable event of our lives.

Bait and Switch — RUN!

Summary: BAIT and SWITCH!!! I would suggest you book elsewhere unless you want the stress of what is mentioned below. They will try their best to get you in then switch it up. They inflated costs a week before the wedding and they were extremely disorganized. They will try to paint you off as a liar so please get EVERYTHING in writing or you will regret it. Luckily, I got everything in writing.

The Details:

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! If you decide to use this venue for your wedding, please get EVERYTHING in writing. Being that my wedding was the “first wedding” at their venue they offered my husband and I what seemed like the world. This should have been the biggest red flag. They offered us a discounted price in total, free open bar at the cocktail hour, and much more. We were so excited! We booked the wedding a little less than a year out and we budgeted. We were all set — or so we thought.

A WEEK before the actual wedding, we were hit with inflated charges that were NOT on the contract. I’ll mention it again, a WEEK before the wedding!!! They also tried to tell us they didn’t promise things that they did — for example, the free open bar cocktail hour and the discounted price on numerous things, etc. Luckily I always ask them to summarize everything in an email after every meeting, or I would summarize it and they would confirm. It was to our surprise when they told us they didn’t promise what they did — that was the worse thing of it. My husband and I were up until 3 am after work one day gathering emails of the promises they made and tried to take back. This was awful!!! As if planning a wedding isn’t stressful enough, we were hit with this situation. They also asked us for our vendors and we gave it to them ahead of time. They contacted our vendors the week of the wedding causing one of our vendors to cancel.

When we called for a meeting, they were surprised I had everything they promised in writing. Had I not had all correspondence, they would have taken back just about everything they promised us. I was fuming to the point where I told them I would’ve canceled the wedding had this occurred any earlier. It was ONLY because I had proof, they granted us what they promised us.

Lastly, the hotel connected us with a contact for parking. We paid for parking for over 100 cars. Of the 90 or so people that checked in, only 25 of them were able to use their tickets per the parking contact confirmation. My husband and I got calls from our guests stating they had to pay for parking. The parking contact wants EVERYONE that had issues to contact him. How ridiculous??? He was the one that confirmed only 25 tickets were used. We made sure every guest that had a vehicle had a valet ticket. The hotel was copied on the email and did nothing to intervene. What a rip off!!!

My husband and I sent an email that we do not want them to use pictures of our wedding on their website or anything else because of the horrible experience we had. The wedding was about a few weeks ago and my husband and I are still trying to chase them to pay the invoice they said they would take “at a later time”. We just want to put it all behind us. I am not one to write any kind of negative review, but I just had to write this one to give some insight to any couples considering this place. I wish I knew then what I know now and I am trying to save the next couple from what my husband and I went through.
