Ambrosia Key West is a perfect location for a reception if you are looking for an intimate outdoor experience. They were extremely helpful in the planning stages and were always available to help out with booking the rooms, recommendations of vendors and to answer my many questions. The courtyard is beautiful and provides a tropical backdrop for the wedding. They allow you to decorate and add your personal touches as you please. It was extremely important to me to find a place that provided the intimate feeling that you want during your wedding. We had 30 people stay at Ambrosia and about 20 other stay offsite at other locations. It was just so much fun to wake up every morning and see all your friends and family in one area enjoying Ambrosia's great breakfast. It also made it easy to keep in touch with everyone and make plans for the day and nights we were there.

I would recommend renting lights to be hung across the courtyard. It just adds to the ambiance of the night. Ambrosia also allowed us to hire one of their staff as a bartender for the night at a cheaper rate than it would cost to find someone else. She was not the best bartender around but was open to my guests pretty much telling her what to do. Also, although there is a "noise policy" they never once said anything to our group of friends. I would highly recommend Ambrosia if you are looking for an intimate and relaxing area and want to avoid the demands and rules of a hotel.
