The Artisan's Building was perfect for my husband and I. The price was right. However, you do have to bring EVERYTHING (except tables and chairs) to the reception space. If you are resourceful, it is not difficult to do! Be prepared to pay for insurance, space rental, cleaning, and the electricity bill! We loved having the building for three days (made for easy setup and teardown!

The Artisan's Building was perfect for us! It was the only reception hall we went to look at and I was immediately sold. The building used to house chicken coops and has been converted into an event space. It has hardwood floors, lots of windows and exposed beams around the perimeter of the room. There are tables and chairs provided as well. It was VERY affordable and we had the space all day Friday before the wedding to decorate, then until noon Sunday to move all of our stuff out. We were able to use our choice of vendors for catering, flowers, etc. The State has requirements about the cleaning, alcohol permits, etc but we had no trouble. The only big challenge we had was parking. The building sits on a hill and the main parking lot is at the bottom with stairs to climb. Some parking is available around back, but there was a horse show the same weekend and those people parked wherever they felt like, making it a bit inconvenient for some of our guests (there is a horse barn behind the building). Overall it is a great space and we got a lot of compliments on how beautiful it was.
