Facilities and Capacity

Avonley Homestead has both indoor and outdoor areas that can accommodate a range of festivities. For the iconic moment when the happy couple become newlyweds, the lush green landscape offers a number of places that would be very suitable. An arbor can easily be set up for the to-be-weds to stand at as they say their vows in the open air. After the pair have each said “I do” and applause has rung out, the ceremony can draw to a close. The couple’s chosen photographer can capture couple portraits of the just-married pair as they pose around the grounds. The cocktail hour promises more fun and memories as the wedding party begins to mix and mingle with each other. As the afternoon drifts towards the early evening, the barn awaits as somewhere inviting and cozy for the reception revelries to begin. The barn may be entered through the large sliding doors, or from the porch via another doorway. Inside, it is defined by wooden features, high ceilings, exposed beams, and a spacious build. Tables and chairs can easily be arranged for approximately 100 guests to sit, relax, and enjoy a culinary adventure. The adjoining porch provides somewhere secluded for guests to move to for some fresh air as the evening blends into night. In truth, this romantic and provincial setting would be fitting for intimate and low-key celebrations.
