Caroline Basnight owner and coordinator, has been working at Basnight's since her family opened the business 26th year ago. As an Outer Banks native, Caroline's wealth of experience in all things Outer Banks is a huge help to her clients. Especially when it comes to fresh, local seafood, something her family has been knows for since they opened their doors.
Victoria joined Basnight's Lone Cedar Cafe's Catering Team seven years ago. As a Virginia native, she moved her in 2012, and has worked in the catering and events industry since. Victoria first started in the hospitality industry while still in high school giving her a plethora of experience in the hospitality industry. When the job first became available at Basnight’s, Victoria said that their commitment to using fresh, local seafood, locally procured produce, and their “green” initiatives made the change a no brainer.

They not only use local seafood, grow their own herbs and such but also have a "green friendly" restaurant. All these things help to preserve our environment, which is a priority for the North Carolina Aquariums and Jennette's Pier. The food is fresh and you can surely taste the difference. Working with Lone Cedar is a complete dream! Their food is delicious, their staff is professional, presentable, and very knowledgeable about the food and the way weddings are run. They always have at least one manager on duty that stays for the entire evening to make sure everything runs perfectly. They are easy going, and able to go with the flow while making sure their service is top notch. We as a vendor love working with them, and can rest assured knowing our clients will be just as happy!
