I recently had the opportunity to work closely with Jackie, the owner of Blue Plate Catering. She was catering at a venue that I too was working at, decorating with floral centerpieces. I am in and out of different reception halls weekly , and usually I smell the cooking and already know it is either stuffed cabbage or beef tips. But, this time it was a different, more flavorful smell then the usual. I approached Jackie, introduced myself and said, "Wow, what are you serving tonight?" She responded, "Chicken Marsala and pasta with meatballs, roasted asparagas and boiled potatoes with butter and parsley!" I said, "Iit smells delicious, wish I was one of the lucky guests." Shortly after learning the menu, Jackie came over to where I was working with a little bit of this and a little bit of that.... on a blue plate of course. She said, "Let me know if I can ever help you out at an event, here's my card." I took a bite of all the samples and I was just amazed at how delicious everything was. So, needless to say, I found the caterer for my sister-in-law's baby shower two months later. I was very pleased with how professional and how accomidating her staff was for all the little things that just made the meal so much better!!!
