Michelle Alvarez-Crider has lived in the Capital Region since 1989. Her past includes serving in the United States Air Force as a Military Police Officer and owning and operating a successful home and office cleaning company. After years of service in those industries, Michelle wanted to make a change and move towards helping people better themselves. That’s when she decided to head back to school and enrolled in the aesthetics’ program at The Aesthetics’ Science Institute in September 2014.
Michelle’s passion and understanding of New York City’s beauty industry, is what sparked her decision to open an aesthetics beauty lounge called Body Glow New York. Since then, she has had the opportunity to continue training with top professional companies. Michelle manages operations with a complete understanding of all departments. As a licensed esthetician with a passion for custom sunless tanning, lash extensions, waxing, skincare, and education, she’s a multifaceted salon owner. She not only provides superior leadership, but unparalleled beauty development and service.
In addition to Michelle’s dedication to her career and the growth of the Body Glow New York brand, she finds time for the most important things in her life, her family. She loves to enjoy spending quality time with her husband, three children, and pups.
Even prior to attending Aesthetic Science Institute, I loved pampering
myself with facials, lashes, and waxing. Coming out of an
appointment, feeling relaxed and beautiful in your own skin, is
priceless. That’s how I knew I wanted to be an Esthetician. I believe
that everyone deserves to feel their best so I strive to refresh all of my
clients, both mentally and physically. After graduating from ASI, I
provided services to my close friends and family to maintain my
aesthetical competency. This ranged from supplying helpful expertise
and beauty advice to facials and waxing services. I then went on to
get extensive training in full body waxing, while also performing fast
facials. I have a passion for learning and understanding pre/post care
products, in order to provide the best lasting results. I’m excited to
build upon my knowledge with this opportunity to put my skills to use
at Body Glow NY by servicing you, the client.
