Bonaventura Vineyards is a vineyard and event venue located in Hartford, Maine, one hour from Portland. The venue includes an authentic barn along with a deck providing scenic views of the vineyards and Little Bear Pond below. The barn is nestled on over 80 acres of property, providing abundant green space for a variety of events. Owners Chad and Jen are a husband-and-wife team and are delighted to work with you to bring your wedding vision to life.

Facilities and Capacity

Featuring dimensions of 70 feet by 36 feet, the barn also includes French doors to offer easy access between the main area and the deck. A bar constructed from reclaimed barn wood is available inside the barn for you to enjoy. The barn can seat 125 people.

Bonaventura Vineyards provides venue rentals for weddings and other special occasions. Couples are free to choose any insured caterer for their big day, allowing for a plethora of wedding cuisine options. History

The venue’s barn was originally built in the 1890s. When Chad and Jen purchased the property in 2015, they immediately planted 300 grapevines to start the vineyard. Since then, they’ve planted new vines each spring to bring the current number to around 1,000 on the property. The barn has gone through several renovations since it was bought. The owners replaced most of the siding with pine clapboard, improved structural components, completed window work, and replaced and added to segments of the floor. Today, the tranquil and rustic Bonaventura Vineyards offers a welcoming setting for couples to say “I do.”
