Horizon West based painter and calligrapher, Christine Kirby, is a lifelong artist and has been practicing calligraphy for more than twenty years. Originally an interior designer, Christine uses design principles in her compositions to create striking work.

Working in acrylic paints and watercolor, Christine finds inspiration from life around her, such as a song lyric, sunrise or an animal. She works in a delicate, whimsical style with a structured discipline to forms. Through her use of color, she is able to transform the mundane into a work of art. Additionally, Christine has extensive knowledge in traditional pointed-pen calligraphy, which give her mastery over a paint brush.

Her work has been a part of two Universal Creative Artist Showcases (2018, 2019).
