Castle McCulloch in Jamestown, North Carolina is a historic wedding venue with an otherworldly charm. This site was initially erected in 1832 and is now included on the National Historic Monument registry. The design was intended to reflect that of European castles, which now gives it a storied look. Walking up to the castle, you cross over a drawbridge for a stately and grand entrance. Inside, you can find large, circular chandeliers constructed from wrought-iron and rich, wood floors nestled underneath. These medieval details lend themselves to a sophisticated look, for a wedding of historic proportions.
Facilities and Capacity
This place of storybook romance possesses a number of rooms that are suitable for a range of party sizes. In the largest, the Crystal Garden Ballroom, up to 300 individuals can be accommodated for a resplendent event. Grecian and French architectural elements grace the layout of this magnificent and lofty space. Adjacent is the Hillside Terrace, which provides an exterior patio area for smaller receptions and ceremonies alike. Waterfront views and elegant pairings of glass and slate details mark the Queen’s Chambers, which can hold up to 80 loved ones. If neither of these event locations are to your liking they additionally have the Great Hall, aptly named as it boasts storybook archways and furnishings. Sit down to a banquet dinner with 85 guests in this spacious, historic, yet contemporarily outfitted room.

Castle McCulloch has it all! Obviously an uber cool castle, but also lovely grounds with many photo opportunities! They also have a separate reception venue providing a totally different ambience for couples looking for modern elegance. Must see venue!
