Our wedding in August 2017 was the first to be held at Central City BBQ, and they did a wonderful job of hosting us. The team there is fantastic. Jessica, the event manager/coordinator, is incredibly helpful and responsive and makes herself available by email, phone, and text. She did so much the day/night of the wedding to help us; she really kept the trains running and thought of everything, she was simply invaluable. JD, the manager, Aaron, the owner/chef, and all other staff members we worked with were so helpful and just very nice people. As far as the venue itself, it's a wonderful space to make your own. The floors were just redone and a large bar installed right before the wedding, along with a wonderful large back decked patio area (which I'm sure could be tented, if you wanted). The inside space was a great size for us, with 90 guests, seating for 60, a band, and lots of room for dancing. It was perfect for our style - we didn't want a ballroom and wanted something a little bit more cool, contemporary, and comfortable. We've gotten rave reviews about the food, of course. Working with the team, we came up with a menu including a brisket carving station, smoked pulled chicken, shrimp and sausage pastalaya, smoked vegetables, a smoked tomato caesar salad, and corn spoonbread. It was fabulous. My husband also appreciated that there were local beer options for the bar packages, something that was important to him to have. We're so glad we found and chose Central City BBQ as the venue for our wedding. Not only was it the perfect location, but the food was incredible and having it all done in house made it all so much easier to plan! We highly recommend it as a venue for large or small events!

We booked an event for 29 high school boy soccer players and their families. It was our end of the year varsity soccer banquet. We had won the State Championship and wanted a festive venue with an area to have a slide show presentation and we needed to be able to seat 80 people. We needed a big beautiful space where the coach and the captains could all make speeches, be heard and easily seen.
The back room at Central City BBQ was perfect. The staff had everything ready for us to set up our screen and projector. Then we added flowers and candles to the beautiful handmade tables and the room was gorgeous . We had privacy from the rest of the restaurant and the staff dedicated to our party were great at staying ahead of our needs. With so many young men eating the delicious BBQ we needed to keep the supply coming.
The menu was perfect. We had worked closely with Kelly Galjour to make sure that there were options for everyone, even vegetarians. They even allowed us to bring in our own sheet cake with a soccer ball emblem on the icing.
This establishment might be a bit off the mainstream path, but it wont be for long. There is plenty of parking and lighting and they even can assist with security if you feel it is needed. Once you find this jewel in Central City you will be coming back for seconds- the food is fabulous and the staff goes the extra distance to make sure your event is what you are envisioning. The Newman Varsity Boys Soccer Banquet was a huge success. We highly recommend Central City BBQ.

We held an event at Central City BBQ for our group of 50 photographer conference attendees and had not only a fantastic meal but were treated with wonderful, hospitable service. CCBQ allowed us to have full reign of the private and outdoor spaces, which our photographers particularly loved due to the window light and colorful backdrops the space provided. The value was unbeatable - a little difficult for certain dietary restrictions (particularly gluten-free), but given the late notice the staff accommodated our few more restricted guests with such kindness. Thanks for a wonderful event!
