Indeed, Chicky Mo has been racking up Wedding Awards nonstop since the first edition of the award. The band, formed in 2010, consists of five elements: piano, contrabass, drums, sax, and vocals.

The band performs exclusively in private events and theater concerts; it is not at all easy to attend their live performances open to the public. They also accept only a very limited number of engagements per season.

Repertoire

The service includes a real concert of the swing music genre, titled precisely "Swing, from Sinatra to Carosone," developed basically in two stages:

A first, extremely elegant one, recalling the typical settings of American-style Gala Evenings; excellent for listening, for example, during dinner. During the first act, the repertoire performed will be Sinatra Style (Frank Sinatra, Michael Bublé, Tony Bennett, Dean Martin, Paul Anka, Nat King Cole, etc.). Examples include Fly Me To The Moon, I've Got You Under My Skin, L.O.V.E., All of Me, Cheek to Cheek, The Way You Look Tonight, My Way, Strangers in the Night, The Lady is a Tramp, Night and Day, etc. Also planned are some traditional Italian and classic Neapolitan songs (Tu Si Na Cosa Grande, Anema e Core, Volare, Piove, etc.) revisited in a jazz or swing key as per the American crooners' tradition.

In the second phase, the rhythms undergo a definite acceleration. The repertoire becomes much more danceable, and light, but at the same time explosive, fun, and bright. Swing songs are taken from Louis Prima, Ray Gelato (Buonasera Signorina, Just a Gigolo, That's Amore, Ohi Marie, Mambo Italiano, etc.) up to the Italian swing of Renato Carosone, Fred Buscaglione, Nicola Arigliano, Natalino Otto (Tu vo fa l'americano, Eri Piccola, Carina, In Cerca di Te, Che si fa, Conosci Mia Cugina, Non Ho voglia di Studiar, etc.) ending with Elvis' Rock & Roll. Rhythmically, the arrangements are very varied, to give the opportunity to dance even to those who are not really into swing, thus embracing the following styles: swing, jive, lindy hop, Rock and roll, cha cha cha, mambo, twist, salsa, fox trot, samba, bossa nova, and more.
