Church in Bethesda is your perfect venue to host weddings, vow renewals and bridal showers. We are located in the heart of downtown Bethesda, Maryland. This charming, historic church was established in 1932 and offers guest a cozy indoor space to host intimate events. Our church is a multi-denominational church that boasts values of inclusivity. We warmly welcome everyone who enters our blue doors!

Facilities and Capacity

Church in Bethesda features five event spaces that are ideal for event rentals.

Sanctuary: Our newly-renovated Sanctuary features stained glass windows, carpeted aisles and cushioned pews seating up to 200 people. Featuring a state-of-the-art audio visual system, keyboards, microphones, and three 95-inch TV monitors provide incredible lighting that makes for superb photos.

Ainley Chapel: Located across the hall from the sanctuary is ideal for cocktail hours, and small event gatherings. This banquet space can seat up to 65 people. The chapel features a large stained glass windows. Tables and chairs are provided as well as a small kitchenette including fridge and microwave.

Ainley Parlor: Opens to the rear of the Chapel, and can serve as the bride's dressing room, party waiting room or a further extended room for the Chapel.

Avery Hall: Located beneath the Sanctuary is ideal for small to medium size events. The hall seats 100 people banquet style, and 150 people theater style. The hall features 3 large windows (plenty of natural light), a small stage, a side entrance and exit. There is access to restrooms on that level.

*We permit alcohol on our premises, and all events must end by 10pm.

Services Offered

Church in Bethesda strives to accommodate each couple that chooses to host their wedding at the venue. Therefore, the church can supply tables, chairs, linens, lighting, and sound equipment to accompany events. The church can host an array of events, including the following celebrations:

Other Facilities

For the comfort of all guests, the venue offers on-property parking options for a maxium of 16 cars. However, there is ample street parking, nearby garages, and an elementary school across the street where guest may park for free on weekends.
