Ever been to a wedding and found the ceremony to be boring or it just felt like the Officiant didn't know the couple? We created our company with one goal in mind; to ensure your Wedding Ceremony is fun, memorable and funny. It is YOUR big day after all. So let's make sure the ceremony reflects why you are!
Cloud 9 Favors is based in New York City. However, we serve most of New York State and New Jersey. We specialize in creating personalized, funny and memorable ceremonies that reflect the journey the couple has taken together. We meet with you several times before your ceremony. We will design your ceremony from start to finish and provide you with a minute by minute timeline of what will happen that day. We will also offer some suggestions on how you can make your ceremony unique. We have done everything from taking shots, selfies and even done the first dance with our couples. Like we said before, we aren't your grandmother's Wedding Officiant. We love our Grandmas by the way.
If you're eloping, we promise to make sure your ceremony is equally as funny. We will also meet with you before to ensure we capture what you want on your day.
Cloud 9 Favors is run by Jason and Romney who got married two years ago to one another. So we know exactly what you are doing through. We also know how to take the stress out of planning the perfect ceremony.
With his meteorological skills, Jason can even help you choose the best times for photos or whether your ceremony time should be adjusted for ideal sunshine. Whether your wedding is non-religious, a civil union, interfaith, or single-faith, we would be delighted and excited to guide you on your wedding day.
Owners Romney Smith and Jason Frazer have extensive experience in the journalism industry as TV reporters, and Jason is also a Meteorologist. With this personable and knowledgeable duo by your side, the heavens are sure to part for you on your special day.

"Hey Jason - is it going to rain?" He gets this question at least 30 times a week. Seriously! He's counted. We thought it was weird that he counted to but we guess that's what scientists do.
Hailing from New York City, Jason started his career in banking. He was a Branch Manager at 23 years old. Jason traded in his keys to the bank vault for a microphone as a TV Reporter. He's worked for several stations including the CBS affiliates in Rochester, NY; Columbus, OH and Hartford, CT. He's also worked for NBC Boston.
Three years ago, Jason switched fields to become a Meteorologist. He's helped guide viewers through Severe Thunderstorms, Tornadoes, Hurricanes and Snowstorms. After spending two years in Savannah, GA at the Fox affiliate, he moved to Cleveland, OH to work for WKYC Channel 3 as a Meteorologist. After spending two years in Cleveland, OH, he moved to New York City where he is a Morning Meteorologist for Fox Weather, a streaming service from Fox News.
Jason became a Wedding Officiant in New York City in 2021.
Jason is a graduate of Columbia University and the Mississippi State University Broadcast Meteorology Program.
He enjoys traveling and has been to over 14 countries across 4 continents.
Always the bridesmaid, but soon to be a bride herself, Romney has attended 30 weddings. She's familiar with the bridesmaid role and has helped plan a few big days as well. When you'be been to that many weddings, you know what works, what doesn't, and what you need to ensure the entire day runs smooth. The one thing Romney Says you can't control is the weather! She co-founded Cloud 9 Favors with Jason to help brides on their big day.
Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, Romney did pharmaceutical sales in Baltimore out of college. Her love of news blossomed until she gave up her career to enroll in graduate school for journalism and hasn't looked back since.
In addition to her work with Cloud 9, Romney is a TV Reporter for News 4 New York - WNBC, the NBC affiliate in New York. Romney has worked for several TV stations including WKYC- Channel 3 in Cleveland, OH, the FOX affiliate in Albany, Georgia, the CBS/FOX affiliate in Jacksonville, Florida and the CBS affiliate in Savannah, Georgia. She's a calligrapher. She's a graduate of the University of Richmond and the University of Maryland.
