Crescent Moon Creative is a florist based out of Lexington, Kentucky, specializing in weddings and other special occasions. Owner Matthew Elliott founded the business in 2020 with a dream to bring happiness to his clients through flowers and the wisdom of tarot. Inspired by his mother’s passion for tarot card reading and his mentor, florist Charlotte Royalty, Matthew found his true passion. This company strives to create elegant bouquets and floral arrangements for every occasion. By paying particular attention to the style and tone, these experts create vibrant flourishes to enhance event spaces in a natural and sophisticated fashion.

Matthew began working with flowers at Imperial Flowers in Lexington, KY when he was 14.
After graduating from the University of Kentucky, with a degree in Arts Administration, Matthew moved to New York City in 2013. He first worked at Langdon’s Tribeca Florist as a designer before transitioning to Gramercy Park Flowers, where he would remain before moving back home to Lexington, KY.
While working at Gramercy Park Flowers, Matthew worked at their DUMBO design studio for a couple of years and participated in DUMBO’s art festival with unique and artistic floral designs for the neighborhood. Later Matthew moved to Gramercy Park’s design boutique located inside the Plaza Hotel.
Under the direction of Tom Sakas, owner of Gramercy Park Flowers, Matthew designed many of the grand floral displays for the Plaza Hotel entrance, in addition to designing for many of the Plaza’s residents and events.
In May 2015, Matthew won first place for Gramercy Park Flowers at the New York Flower Show Gala (hosted by the Horticultural Society of New York) with his original floral tablescape design.
After returning to Lexington, KY in 2017, Matthew returned to Imperial Flowers as manager and wedding/event lead until 2020 before starting CMC. He now resides in Lexington, KY and serves the community with luxury flowers.
