About
On WeddingWire since 2016
Crosstalk (formerly known as Bogg Jazz Ensemble) is the only jazz ensemble based in Portland, Oregon that provides completely customizable musical experiences for clients. We specialize in performing both classic jazz songs and reworked pop songs outside of the traditional jazz canon. Jazz arrangements of Taylor Swift, Tears For Fears, and Mr. Rogers are just as common in Crosstalk sets as Cole Porter and Miles Davis are. As a band interested in performing new music, we offer our couples the opportunity to collaborate with us on an original setlist for their event. Please get in touch and let us know what you need for your event, we love a challenge!
We know that one of the most important parts of your big day is choosing the right soundtrack. Crosstalk has over 10 years of professional wedding experience, and we pride ourselves on developing a unique, special, and unforgettable vision for your wedding day. No two weddings are alike, and the same should be true of the music. Down to the last detail, your wedding should be your own, and so should the soundtrack you choose to celebrate it with.
All the members of Crosstalk perform regularly in the Portland scene as in-demand rhythm section players and tour with regional and national artists in Washington, California, Colorado, and more. Though we anchor ourselves in jazz and soul, we defy expectations and bridge several musical and artist' genres.
Crosstalk will always show up well-dressed, on time, and ready to create something special. After all, the more fun we have making music, the more you will enjoy listening to it!
