We found David Crane on a random google search of wedding photographers whose style skews more towards “documentary”. That list had nearly 100 photographers on it, but we singled out David Crane because of the quality of his body of work as shown on his website.

We arranged a meeting with David months before the big day to see how well we’d get along, and he was a charismatic and charming individual which was nice to see that personality backing up his immense talent.

For the big day he was a one man army (even though he did bring an assistant to assist). He was everywhere! From the “getting ready” shots of the wedding party, the first look, wedding party shots, pre-ceremony shots, ceremony, family shots, cocktail hour, and reception he was everywhere he needed to be and we were blown away by the quality of the shots we got.

The presentation of the final materials was an unexpected bonus. Such care and quality was placed into the delivery of the final assets, light years ahead of a dropbox/flickr/imgur link. Everything was well organized, and as mentioned above, we were blown away by the quality of the shots. Thank you so much for making our wedding day so memorable!

David Crane is absolutely wonderful to have him capture your wedding day. He is a photojournalist. His talent is on capturing the moment on film. If you are wanting a documentary type photographs, then he is the perfect choice. We actually went out to the American Photojournalism Association website to find David Crane. I highly recommend him. I forgot to give him my "must have" list but he got all the photos I needed. I suggest doing the two photographer package. I changed it to two photographer and glad we did. They got various angles. Love all of my photos. No regrets at all. David Crane actually exceeded my expectations. :)

David Crane is a super talented photographer who captured amazing images from our wedding. We couldn’t be happier with them! He and his assistant worked quietly during the wedding, which allowed them to capture more candid shots, I think, and also to not interfere in the overall flow of the day. David has years of experience under his belt but is very reasonably priced because (luckily for us) he likes to stay busy. He’s also a very nice person who made everyone feel very comfortable. Lastly, when we first met with David, we said we’d be happy with “four or five iconic images from our wedding day.” David smiled and said he hoped to give us many more than a handful. True to his word, we are now sorting through what can only be called an embarrassment of riches. Thank you, David!
