Well, I have written several outstanding reviews for my various wedding vendors and it pains me to have to write one that is less so. For our August 2017 wedding we started planning last September. When this was still The Westin we met with Nic on the sales team and had a great tour. Everything seemed just right for our wedding weekend - we needed a place for our guests to stay, for us to stay, and for a brunch the morning after the wedding. Of the hotels we reached out to, this one was the most responsive and seemed to have everything we needed. We knew there was a planned lobby, bar and restaurant renovation but everything seemed to fit with our needs and Nic was so great we didn't worry. We should have, and we probably should have looked at another option.

After the first of the year we learned Nic was leaving. When the new sales person emailed to introduce herself she also noted the hotel changing from Westin to Dossier (a complete surprise to us) and the restaurant changes she mentioned were not what had been explained to us previously. This concerned us and we went in to meet her (McKenzie). She seemed good and we felt reassured. But then we had issues with our room block and confusion about how many rooms we had held for our guests. We had further delays getting any sort of menu for our brunch. The weekend of the wedding there were stumbles - a guest called the day prior to arrival to confirm their booking and ask questions and the desk agent couldn't find their reservation. My cousin checked in and the room they booked was not the room they got. My in room dining meal on the day of the wedding wasn't right or good. Just too many little things that added up to unneeded frustration. With what we paid for our rooms and the venue for brunch I expected much more. Disappointing for sure. Maybe after they get the kinks worked out from the change, things will improve.
