Yvonne and Events by Mayven are outstanding! Yvonne planned our backyard wedding. From our first meeting, she knew things about the wedding process that we never considered. It was such a great feeling to know we were in good hands. We met regularly in the lead up to the wedding and had great communication throughout. Yvonne is both kind and sure, two great aspects in a wedding planner! I highly recommend Event by Mayven for wedding planning purposes.

Yvonne was amazing! She is so professional and handles everything with such grace. I knew from the first call that she would be great. She has a calming presence that made us feel like everything would be ok. Two weeks before our wedding, the general manager of our venue got fired/quit. Yvonne quickly problem solved and ensured the new replacement manager was up to speed. The day of the wedding she came to the bride’s suite and ensured hair and make-up was on track. Her and her assistant executed the decor and set-up exactly how we envisioned. The night of the wedding couldn’t have gone as smoothly without her. She MADE our night. We literally didn’t worry about anything. She orchestrated everything perfectly and we were able to enjoy our special day. If you’re debating on hiring a wedding coordinator - hire Yvonne. You will not regret it! She is a gem.

I cannot say enough good things about Yvonne (Events by Mayven). Even though she only had a few reviews at the time I found her, they were all glowing. I got a good feeling based on those reviews, and I'm SO GLAD we chose her. She is THE REASON our wedding day went as smoothly as it did.

From our first meeting, I could tell that Yvonne was sweet, direct, organized, incredibly detail-oriented, and empathetic. She made sure to ask me and my now-husband what our goals for the wedding day were - i.e., what was important to each of us individually. She also made sure to ask about any sensitive family dynamics so that she could be mindful of those and put out any day-of fires if needed.

Trust me when I say that hiring Yvonne will be one of the best decisions you could possibly make for your wedding day. Whether you are totally unfamiliar with the wedding planning process or you've been in 10 bridal parties, Yvonne has something to offer everyone. Meeting with her was like couples counseling in a way, because it allowed us to sit and focus on our wedding day (and each other!) at regular intervals. When we were trying to decide on a photo location for couple's portraits between the ceremony and reception, Yvonne got in her own car and drove around Westchester, made calls, and scouted out some gorgeous options for us. Her eagle eye while scoping out locations on Instagram is the reason we were able to do our portraits at Sleepy Hollow Lighthouse - which had previously looked like it was closed due to nearby construction!

Yvonne went above and beyond in every way I can think of. She made detailed timelines and packing lists. Throughout the day if I felt even the slightest bit stressed, she immediately picked up on it and found a way to alleviate it. She was a kind familiar face, guiding us and accompanying us every step of the way without being intrusive whatsoever. Six weeks before the wedding, she took over communications with our venue and other vendors to offload our to-do list. She advocated for our needs and wants and helped us execute our vision like a dream come to life.

I think one of the greatest things she contributes to every couple's wedding day is staying to the end of the reception to ensure all personal items are accounted for - she actually packed our car up for us as we said our goodbyes.
