Located in downtown Saugatuck, Michigan, First Congregational Church of Saugatuck offers couples an elegant church venue for their wedding. The church was the first house of worship erected in Saugatuck in 1860, and is considered a historic building. The staff at the church absolutely love weddings, and are delighted to open their doors for long-time members of the church family as well as couples looking to host a destination ceremony. The church is located just a city block from waterfront views of the beautiful Kalamazoo River and Kalamazoo Lake, as well as plenty of restaurants where couples can hold their rehearsal dinner. Couples are welcome to hold their ceremony and reception, or elopement at the church.

Facilities and Capacity
The sanctuary at First Congregational Church of Saugatuck can comfortably seat 180 guests. The sanctuary is very customizable, and welcoming of most decorations couples would like to use to create a beautiful ceremony site. For more intimate parties, the chapel is able to accommodate 50 guests. The church also has spacious get-ready rooms, where wedding parties can relax and comfortably dress before the ceremony. Also located on the property is a fully functioning kitchen and plenty of parking for wedding guests. The church is also wheelchair accessible.

Services Offered
Pastor Sarah and wedding coordinator Pat Gentry look forward to meeting with each couple, and making their wedding day a unique and meaningful experience. Couples are also allowed to secure the services of outside minister or officiates for their service. Pat Gentry is available to couples for the rehearsal and wedding, as well as prior to the wedding to coordinate any arrangements with outside officiates, musicians, or vendors. The facility is a pet-friendly venue, and also allows any outside vendors couples find necessary for their occasion, although they do not permit alcoholic beverages on the church grounds. Church custodians Becky and Julie will prep the service space prior to the ceremony, as well as clean up afterwards.
