Musicians Carla Rivers-Johnson and Jasmine James have more than 25 years of performance experience and have played with and for many notable figures, including Andrea Bocelli, Kisma Jordan, Marie Osmond, Rosa Parks, Icewear Vezzo, Transiberian Orchestra, The Eagles, and The Illharmonic Orchestra.
Carla and Jasmine are passionate about the arts and music. They are also highly focused, detail-oriented people who love working with happy couples. Florella Strings serves Southeast Michigan and the Midwest region. Carla and Jasmine are classically trained, but their ever-growing musical repertoire has something for everyone and includes: traditional and religious pieces, classic Motown, R&B hits, pop favorites, songs from the stage, and movie soundtracks. Carla and Jasmine can play acoustic or electric instruments, depending on your preference; solo, duo, and trio arrangements are also available. Meet Jasmine James. Jasmine has dedicated 25 years to intense cello study and performs regionally. In addition, Jasmine maintains an intimate studio of violin and cello students. Her devotion to music education and community motivates Jasmine, as a visionary, to create a space where the multi-generational can learn and enjoy music. As a classically trained musician, Jasmine has contracted and taken part in hundreds of weddings and other events, for over 20 years - providing superior service. Jasmine's love for the arts, paired with her creative genius, innate preparednesss and consistent execution bring forth harmonious alignment with Florella Strings.
Meet Carla, lover of people, lover of music and violinist with Florella Strings. At a very young age, Carla began sharing music internationally as a missionary. Later, she spent time working in a leadership capacity for a national corporation. She now shares her talent full time. Having studied and performed on a violin for over 25 years, Carla has been able to marry her inter-personal skills, organizational aptitude, and natural prowess for strategy and detail, with her passion to create a musical experience for all.
