I am a June 2023 bride. My husband and I hosted a fusion wedding, I am American and my husband is first generation Salvadoran. We knew the music had to hit at our wedding, but it felt like a lot of pressure to please both sides. When we found Sid, it felt like a weight was taken off our shoulders!
From our initial meeting, to pre-wedding communication, to the actual wedding day, working with Sid was amazing. He understood our situation exactly, and had a portfolio full of amazing weddings that were similar, if not the same, to ours.
Our dance floor was PACKED all night long, and it was all attributed to the great job Sid did reading the crowd, providing all types of music, and keeping the party going.
I cannot recommend or thank him enough for giving us the party of our dreams! 100000/10 recommend.

“DJ El Sid” Sid’s passion for music and entertaining the crowd began in high school while on a trip to Jamaica with friends in 2006. From there, he has enjoyed every step of his DJing career culminating in founding Fusion Function in 2024. Sid has been DJing weddings full time for over 8 years, so he is an expert at reading the crowd. Families love his approachable attitude at weddings, and he always brings a high energy and engaging set to any event he performs at.
Sid embodies what it means to balance a fusion of culture and music. His background is Salvadorian and black so blending culture and music has always come natural to him. Multicultural fusion weddings are his favorite – He loves mixing latin music with pop, hip-hop and rock and more!
Luis Ortiz, Dj Stix, is known throughout the city of Boston as a true artist, who uses his friendly charisma and raw Dj turntableism talent to keep clients consistently delivering 5 out 5 star reviews. Dj Stix celebrates diversity of individuals and clients by investing in getting to know their personal musical preferences. Clients appreciate his easy going, yet detailed organized demeanor during the wedding process.
