Hello! My name is Tessa Walter and I'm the Owner of Gettysburg Picnics.

What started out as a pandemic project in December of 2020, has flourished into the full service event planning business you see today. It is amazing what happens when you step back and let the Universe lead you down the path you were always meant to be.

As a first time mom who decided to stay at home with my son, I was hopeful I could plan at least one luxury picnic a month. I wanted to keep a creative outlet and enjoyed the idea of employing other female entrepreneurs and stay at home moms "if" my little picnic idea ever caught on.

Fast forward to today and I am grateful to have not only accomplished those goals in such little time but also plan to open a storefront in The Outlets Shoppes at Gettysburg, located at 1863 Gettysburg Village Drive, as early as December 2023. We look forward to hosting events in our space as well as meeting with our beautiful couples, planning exciting milestone memories, and offering unique party supplies and event items from small, woman owned businesses from throughout the country.

Hi, there!

My name is Amanda White and I am the Manager of Gettysburg Picnics! I have been with Gettysburg Picnics just under two years. I started as an Event Assistant, working one or two events a month creating luxury picnics and sleepovers while working a full time job. Fast forward to this past summer, I took the leap to quit my full time job and begin working full time with Gettysburg Picnics and could not love my job more!

As a young woman I have always loved creating lasting memories and beautiful moments. While baking and cake decorating was always my main passion growing up, I always loved planning, decorating, and coordinating parties and events. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that I would find a likeminded woman creating a business that celebrates everything.

With Gettysburg Picnics you can truly Celebrate Everything. I take pride in every event I have been apart of. I love what I do and treat every event as if it were my own.
