My Husband urged me to look into it, I did and I instantly had concerns... we decided to go look at the venue  and while there the site director Stacie was there. I voiced my concerns to her and she verbalized that we basically had no worries because the amount of work my husband had been doing for the mill. To avoid the length to this story--nothing was asked from us until about a month prior to the wedding where my Husband reached out to her about the website and casually mentioned the intense planning. The day before the wedding where we could set up? No longer, the day of...not allowed to set up inside until about 4hrs prior to the wedding (and thats after "strings were pulled") forget showers and getting ready! Every single thing Stacie told us she went back on...except...drinking outside. Even still Bodge (the volunteer there to "supervise") told us we couldn't and my husband retorted to call Stacie and straighten it out. The day of was crazy, hetic and absolutely a let down all do to the lies and deceit from the site manager. We received numerous emails from the site director trying to be prim and proper, but after the wedding sent a personal email to my husband assuming he was through helping based off my emails--meanwhile they were emails from us both and how cowardly to bring up something in reference to me assuming he wouldn't mention it to me? Or just that she didnt care enough about such a significant day. additionally, we arrived at a disaster, the lawn was not mowed (increase in mosquitoes and other critters?! YUP!), we were not allowed ceremony music, the resident toothless woman reared her nasty head in the reception twice that I saw and it was hot as heck inside with the women upstairs having windows open and we were unableto control it. Unfortunately for us, we did not have a contract...so I am posting my disastrous experience in hopes to avoid someone elses upset.
