Grounded & Glammorous (Jamie & her team) was the perfect fit for our wedding. You spend a lot of vulnerable time with your beauty team on your wedding day, therefore it was so important for me to be comfortable with the team I chose. From the moment I booked with Jamie and talked with her on the phone, I knew she would be a delight to work with. She was so easy to communicate with. I've never had my makeup done professionally before and I can be pretty particular, so I was a little nervous about hiring a makeup artist for my wedding, but I found it so easy to talk to her and communicate what I wanted that after my trial (about two months before the wedding) I really felt like my nerves about hair and makeup melted away. I still felt like myself in the makeup Jamie used, but just a little more fancy! What was most important to me was that my skin looked natural and it totally did. I've never been so happy with my makeup looking back at photos before.

On the day of, not only did Jamie do a great job of pivoting and really listening when I asked for some slight changes to my makeup day of, but she also somehow managed to do my hair and makeup in a way that stayed in place all day despite constant rain throughout our outdoor/tented wedding. There was absolutely no frizz to my hair and even after taking photos outside and getting rained on, my updo held up and was mostly still curled by the end of the night. My makeup didn't move an inch and I felt amazing all day. I really can't thank her enough for being such a friendly person to work with, and for making my first professional hair and makeup experience a great one!

Jamie and her team of professionals are wonderful to work with. Brides can set up a hair and make up trial to test their look. A schedule for the day will be created to make services for all the ladies happen in a timely manner, having you ready in time for photos to take place. Her team will arrive punctually on Wedding day morning and are ready to jump right into the process. I've always been so impressed by how long into the night the look lasts- through lots of happy tears and hugs, the ladies look lovely! Jamie offers the service of staying for bridal touch ups after photos as well. A great value to add in if you plan a first look with photos before the ceremony. The early morning salon service process on a wedding day can be a stress point for some brides. Jamie and her team have a calm approach to the day and help keep emotions in a happy place. Whenever I walk into the bridal room to check in on the bride and her early morning preparations- calm is something I look for.
