Since renovation to update its facilities, this beautiful location caters to wedding ceremonies, receptions, engagement parties, showers, and more. It lies a mere 45 minutes from downtown Chicago and is easily accessible for long-distance, out-of-town wedding guests.
Facilities and Capacity
The 100-acre Highland Park Country Club offers couples several stunning indoor and outdoor spaces on their biggest day. Nearlyweds can arrange a memorable ceremony under the warm Chicago sun, surrounded by loved ones and sheltered on all sides by tall trees. In full bloom, the trees create a sense of tranquility and seclusion that only adds to the overall majesty of the ceremony. Once the "I dos" and vows are swapped, guests can follow the happy couple inside the spacious and thoughtfully decorated country club. An unforgettable night of dining and dancing lies ahead, with up to 350 family and friends celebrating together into the late evening hours. For couples who don't require a dance floor, the complete capacity of the venue rises to 400 for the traditional seated meal.

Amazing Wedding Venue!
Beautiful Venue, Helpful Staff, and Amazing Food!
We loved having the golf cart before the ceremony so that we could take pictures all over the forest preserve. We especially liked taking photos in the garden area. We used the outside patio and Audubon Hall for our ceremony and reception respectively; it was absolutely gorgeous! Having a 6pm ceremony, the sunset hit over the lake right at cocktail hour. It was stunning.
Overall, if you're looking for a fantastic venue with gorgeous forest preserve photos and excellent food, we would definitely recommend Events at Independence Grove!

Tiffany graduated from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb in December 2015. Originally she had gone to school to become an Elementary Teacher. While at Northern, she held an executive board position as the Fundraising & Events Vice President for her service organization, which is when she found her passion for this industry and graduated with a degree is Hospitality Management. She enjoys seeing all the pieces come together to create an event. She also loves traveling, trying new restaurants and serving others.
Beth is from Milwaukee with a deep love of the Green Bay Packers, Brandy Old-Fashioneds and cheese curds. She takes after her grandma with her love of entertaining, which lead her to graduate with Event & Hospitality Management degrees from Iowa State University. She has experience in both wedding and corporate events helping bring to life the unique vision of each client. Outside of the office, she enjoys baking, reading, & date nights at our favorite restaurants.
