This location is wonderful for a weekend getaway , but I do not recommend it for any kind of group function. After we reserved our hotel block they neglected to tell us guests couldn't beginning making reservations until a few weeks after we sent out the information. When our guests were supposedly able to call and reserve they were often told no block existed in our names. It was incredibly difficult for people who wanted to stay longer than the block allowed to make additional reservations. Later a mix up with credit card authorization forms led to my debit card being preauthorized/ potentially over drawn by almost $1,000. The woman who was supposed to be handling the deauthorization, for whatever reason, was not at work at any of the times we were told she would be there and working to fix it. The two extra days we stayed in Charleston after our guests left was less of a mini honeymoon and absolutely a stressful mess because the majority of our funds were being held by the bank. In our opinion, and the opinion shared with us by several guests, all the staff at this Hilton are incredibly nice, but none of them seem particularly experienced at their jobs.
