We just got married at Hotel El Convento on March 2, 2024 and have nothing but amazing things to say! We first toured the venue in November 2023. From that first meeting, we knew it was the venue for us. Nelia spent over two hours with us in that first meeting. The care, attention, and consideration she showed to us in that first meeting never wavered over the next year and a half leading up to our wedding. She consistently was available to us to answer questions, answer emails, and get us any information she needed. She was flexible to work with, professional, kind, and compassionate. She truly went above and beyond to ensure we felt at ease every step of the way. Come our wedding day, this level of service went beyond just Nelia. All of the staff, servers, bartenders, bellhops, front desk attendants - literally everyone and anyone at Hotel El Convento - were amazing. From helping us deliver our welcome bags to guests to ensuring our guests were settled in their rooms to keeping the party going on our wedding night, they all demonstrated what five star service is. We are already planning to return to Hotel El Convento to celebrate our one year anniversary and soak it all in yet again! That should be a testament to how much we cherished Nelia and her whole team throughout not only the planning process but also our wedding weekend.

Hotel El Convento in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, is the epitome of romance and elegance. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with professionalism and warmth by each member of the hotel staff, who went above and beyond to make our special stay exceptional! My husband and I checked into the junior suite for two days and then the hotel helped us move over to the bridal suite (MY FAVORITE - I love the checkered floor) the Friday before our wedding day so we could be comfortable to get ready to walk down the aisle on Saturday!

Sánchez Ramos and her dedicated team for their unwavering support and accommodations throughout our wedding planning process. Their close attention to detail and commitment to our vision ensured that every aspect of our special day was flawless.

The wedding rehearsal dinner held in Salon Martorell was nothing short of spectacular. The tapas-style dinner was not only unique but also exquisitely delicious, offering a variety of Puerto Rican flavors that delighted all of our guests. The ambiance of the salon, combined with the exceptional service, made the evening truly memorable.

Our romantic, tropical dream wedding was brought to life with the help of the GORGEOUS venue, Salon Campeche, and all of the incredible members of the catering team. From the beautiful setting to the impeccable service, every moment was filled with joy and love. My husband and I extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every person who played a part in making our wedding day an unforgettable experience.

All the 5 star reviews given by everyone, including myself are well deserved. This review is from a males perspective. I was responsible for arranging my Sons Rehearsal dinner. I chose El Convento for their stunning pictures, excellent reviews, and location (in Old San Juan). Let me say, it was the best decision that I made pertaining to his wedding. I started by contacting their Catering Manager Nelia T. Sanchez Ramos. She was absolutely perfect in every sense of the word. She gave me guidance, ideas, and advice. She was accommodating, doing everything she can to make this day special and without any headaches. She is a true professional. Her advice on hosting the cocktail hour in their beautiful Courtyard and then hosting the dinner in their famous and beautiful room "Salon Campeche" was on point (I say famous because every time I mentioned the Salon Campeche, everyone knew about it and raved about it). The Courtyard is spectacular, the ideal place to greet your guest with Sangria and drinks, plenty of lounge furniture to sit around and to stand if you like. Since, is it Puerto Rico in July, it was hot and humid, so then having the dinner time moved to the Salon Campeche, where it was air conditioned was, as Nelia said "having the best of both worlds" and she was absolutely correct. Two days before my event, she passed me to Gabriela Cortes Garriga (The Event Manager), who was responsible for coordinating with me to make sure every single detail was want I wanted and needed. Gabriela was another true professional. She was super efficient, responsive, and extremely helpful. Gabriela was assisted by a gentleman named Jesus. Again, another professional, helpful and great person. Let me just say at this time that the whole staff was fantastic, accommodating, efficient, attentive and provided exceptional service. The food was absolutely fantastic (and that came from a few foodies that we had in our group), we order the traditional Puerto Rican food and it was better than the restaurants we went to while in San Juan. Our guest, of 75 people, kept commenting and talking about the food and place, days after the event. So, to finish up, stunning venue all around, spectacular court yard, Beautiful room, great and sincere people, exceptional staff and Managers. I want to honestly say that it was sad when the event ended because they truly made me feel special and they made the whole event special to me, my family, my friends, and my Son & Fiancé.
