About

Plan your wedding at the historic Illini Union & Hotel near the University of Illinois campus in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois. Opened in 1941, the Union Hotel is the official hotel of the University of Illinois.

The Illini Union is available to alums, faculty, staff, students, and the general public for wedding ceremonies and receptions. The hotel features a large banquet hall with space for 500 guests, a perfect location for any size wedding. The large, adjacent ballroom is ideal for your reception and guests to blissfully dance the night away.

The Illini Union and Hotel provide get-ready rooms and accommodation for your guests. The catering team will provide a bartender and servers for the duration of your stay, along with china, flatware, glassware, and linens. The hotel grounds offer ample parking and wheelchair-accessible access points.

Catering and Event staff are phenomenal to work with! Planning our event was easily done via email, phone or personal consult at requests. The staff generally took care of everything and led the way with planning, answering our questions easily and knowledgeably as we went. There were a few hiccups with staff during the event, but they were smoothed out quickly. I cannot speak to how awesome this venue is if you are looking for something all-inclusive. A hotel is even built right into the building so guests don't have to travel anywhere after the event = perfection. Highly recommend this venue for large group events.
