About

The historically registered Indiana Theatre opened its doors on January 28, 1922 on the corner of 7th and Ohio. Tickets were sold for a mere 40 cents at the time. Though some things have changed since that historic night, the magic created then continues today. With a keen appreciation for the theatre’s remarkable architecture and history, we have added a few key features to keep the Indiana Theatre a relevant and vibrant symbol of Terre Haute’s resurgent future.

The Auditorium originally sat 1674. About 1300 of those seats are still preserved today while a terrace and dance floor have been added to host a larger variety of events. Choose to host your special event here and have access to the stage and our giant screen for anything from live bands and powerpoints to wedding nuptials and recitals. On the terrace we can sit 175 comfortably around our round tables or simply offer bar amenities on each side with our three portable bars.

Connecting the Rotunda to the Auditorium, our Lobby or Ballroom area is a highly adorned space perfect for any meetings, cocktail hours, or dinners that need a touch of ambiance.
