Built in 1925, the building that now houses The Indigo Room, originally served as a mercantile store or locals. Located directly across from the railroad and just a block from the denim mill, the building also served as a post office. Over the years, many businesses have come and gone, changing both the exterior and interior, taking away from its original architecture.

In an effort to stay true to the buildings heritage, the room was stripped down to reveal the exposed brick of the former outside wall. Also staying true to heritage, the building was named The Indigo Room referencing the color blue that is used when making denim.

The Indigo Room located in downtown Erwin is the ideal place for your wedding and/or reception. With its exposed brick wall dating back to 1903, to its 15 foot ceiling and knotty pine floors the Indigo Room is a beautiful blend of old and new. The recently renovated building now has a stainless steel kitchen ideal for your cater to set up for your meal whether you are serving 20 or 120. The Indigo Room has 20 round tables that can accommodate up to 120 of your guests.
