About

Built in 1925, the building that now houses The Indigo Room, originally served as a mercantile store or locals. Located directly across from the railroad and just a block from the denim mill, the building also served as a post office. Over the years, many businesses have come and gone, changing both the exterior and interior, taking away from its original architecture.

In an effort to stay true to the buildings heritage, the room was stripped down to reveal the exposed brick of the former outside wall. Also staying true to heritage, the building was named The Indigo Room referencing the color blue that is used when making denim.

Wonderful place for my wedding reception

I can’t say enough good things about this place. The exposed brick interior is a beautiful backdrop along with the Igor hardwood floors. The price was great for having 3 day access. We got to take our time to setup our wedding reception the day before. They have hooks in place along the length of the walls to string up Edison/Christmas lights, which we did. They provided tables and chairs, and if we needed, linens and candles. Open flames candles were permitted but we used flame less. You can pay a deposit and clean up yourself (which there is a detailed list of what is necessary to clean along with supplies to do so) or pay extra for the venue to take care of the cleaning. The management was quick to respond to any questions we had and helpful in recommending other vendors for services we needed.

This venue does not have ample space for 150 as it says on its website. It is too cramped for that amount of people. The renters were late with the key at the time they said they would meet us their to decorate and acted like it was not a big deal. They gave us limited information as far as the tables, etc.
