Based in La Marque, Texas, owner and founder Erin Kate is an experienced cake designer with a passion for desserts, art, and cheese. After graduating from Colorado State University with a BFA in fiber art, she went on to study cake design at the renowned International Culinary Center in New York City. She also worked as a cheesemonger and under one of the best cake designers in the south, Melissa's Fine Pastries.

The Best Cakes in Galveston County

Jazzbird Bakery is an absolute gem, and Erin Young is the most talented baker you could ever hope to find. Her cakes are the only ones I will order, and her Lemon Blueberry Cake is nothing short of divine—I always say, "I will be buried in that cake." Erin's creativity and skill make every occasion extra special.

For my mom's birthday, who is quite the spooky lady, Erin suggested a unique large black candle cake with a WORKING WICK. The sight of my mom's Giant Candle Birthday cake, complete with a lit wick, made her squeal with excitement. Whether it's a birthday, a cast party, or just a pick-me-up after a bad week, Jazzbird Bakery is the only place in Galveston County I trust for any special occasion. Erin's cakes are worth it in spades!
