Book them! You'll love it!
Working with Hannah and Andrew was so enjoyable. My husband and I had been engaged for 2 years, I had always considered a videographer but assumed it was out of my budget. Two weeks prior to our wedding (statistically the most popular wedding weekend of the year) I posted on a bride's facebook group about available videographers with our price range. After reviewing over a hundred offers, Hannah and Andrew's work stood out. From the care of their website to the quality of their videos. They only had 3 or 4, but I could tell they had put thought into the edits and each video felt unique and individual for each couple and their families coming together.
Our goal for our video was to document our loved ones coming together to celebrate our union. My husband and I were realistic that our wedding was likely to be the last time that our full extended families would be gathered together (we're the last ones in our families to be married). Additionally, we noted that our nieces and nephews were cute (2 weeks -4.5 years old) and we felt lucky everyone in our family was currently in good health. I communicated this with Hannah through emails and during our interview (she magically squeezed in during peak wedding season with only 2 weeks notice). We also said we didn't care to hear our love story, but we wanted to see our friends and family embracing, and videos of kids playing, and our adorable dog. If they captured they--they'd be worth the money.
Hannah and Andrew were nothing but professional, kind, warm, and inviting. They handled our day with care and thoughtfulness. They showed up and made me feel at ease, I barely noticed them when getting dressed, laughing with my bridesmaids, or even when they told me to kiss Kevin one more time. They knew moments they wanted to capture, they had execution plans and they did not disrupt any moment but added SO MUCH through their documentation.
After our wedding, Hannah was communicative and professional. She gave timelines and updates on their process. Hannah reviewed her thoughts on the day and asked if there was anything particular we remembered and wanted to see in our film.
Hannah and Andrew took time and care on our video and documentary, receiving it a few months after our wedding. The quality in their work SHOWS. They captured so much, not only on our day but the personalities of ourselves and the people we love. They showed small moments of me holding and singing to by two week old niece (something I don't remember doing, and shocked I had time for) and the big moments of my 4.5 yr old flower girl stealing the show. They even quickly busted out their equipment, stayed late, and filmed us dancing with everyone because our guests flipped out at us reentering back into the reception.
Our videos (highlight reel and documentary), were both long (7 min, & 1 hour), thoughtful and tailored to us. Within minutes of posting it I had over 20 texts about friends who were there and weren't and how happy it made them. My best friend said, "My eyes are sooooo sweaty! That’s my absolute favorite part of your whole wedding! It is absolute perfect. Wow, I didn’t know I could love a video so much!! It’s so incredibly beautiful and captures your special day absolutely PERFECTLY!" she later said, "it’s absolutely perfect in every single way. Literally the best wedding video EVER! I can’t believe they’re sending you an even longer version!!! They’re amazing! I would recommend them a million times!" My mom has her MA in directing and film and did not think I should hire a videographer. She had strong opinions about the cost (even though I didn’t tell her how much we paid). When she saw the highlight she called and had NOTHING BUT COMPLIMENTS for the professional cuts and angles of the film. She was so impressed and discussed hiring them for advertising for her business.
We haven’t reviewed any other vendor (shame on us) but I feel strongly that hiring KW was worth it. If I was going to hire any vendor again, it would be KW Productions. Thanks again Hannah and Andrew!!
