Not on our radar anymore.

After driving 3 1/2 hours to see this venue that my daughter was so unbelievably excited about we were met by the property owner who was impatient and rude and downright insulting to my daughter! We did not get to see the whole property so that we could envision what my daughter wanted for her wedding. We were rushed and only got to see a portion of it. This property has the potential to be very lovely. The property owner made us aware of her discussed with her husband‘s vision that this was to be built as a home for the two of them back in the 70s. This property is extremely out-of-the-way and inconvenient to get to not only for a wedding party, but for vendors as well. I have provided wedding florals in Texas, New Mexico and Arizona as that is my profession. Never have I been treated with so much disrespect as we were yesterday. When the groom gets in the car and the first words out of his mouth is, well that is a hard no because he doesn’t want my husband and I spend money on a place that would treat us like that. Terribly unaccommodating and I already knew based on the things she was saying that what my daughter envisioned for her wedding was going to be unacceptable. At one point, she asked how many attendance they were going to be in my daughters wedding. She was almost in her face, pushing with this question and repeated it three times and I could tell my daughter was getting flustered, but also misunderstood the question. She answered with how many we thought would be in attendance for the wedding. When my daughter realized what she was asking, she asked the groom about a couple of members who may or may not be in the party and was visiting with him in order to answer her question and this woman literally turned around to her and said I don’t need to know the names of the people in your wedding or how old they are. I need to know how many there’s going to be. I was absolutely mind blown! This was our first venue to visit because this was the one at the top of my daughters chart. My daughter has been through so much and deserves to have a fairytale wedding and I will do whatever it takes to make that happen and this is clearly not the place.
