This is by far the worst venue that I have ever come into contact with. They make their money by lying to customers and use a bait-and-switch system after your money has been paid. The horrible woman who owns the ranch promised to complete everything below, and ended up doing none of it (and didn't give any money back):
- The grass was supposed to be cut - the owner refused to do it. The groomsmen ended up bringing in their personal lawnmowers and proceeded to cut the mile-high lawn themselves.
- The huge potholes in the dirt driveway were supposed to be filled in - again, the owner refused to do it. The groomsmen brought in their personal equipment and filled in the potholes.
- The horse manure was supposed to be cleaned out of the reception area (a basic health-related requirement). Instead the owner covered the mounds of horse manure with sand as assured us that the poop would "turn into sand" before the wedding (in less than 24 hours).
- The owner was supposed to provide a tent that was included in the price for the venue. A week before the wedding she informed us that their tent had been stolen a year ago and that they wouldn't be providing one. Again, no money was returned.
- The owner said that she and her husband would be off the property while the wedding was going on. Instead, they stuck around, ate the food, and got incredibly drunk off the alcohol that was provided for the guests. The owner was heard bragging to guests that she "did nothing" for the weddings and was proud of how little she helped out and how much she didn't care if she got bad reviews.
- For all of our trouble the owner told the bride that she looked pregnant in her dress, that she was an idiot, and assured her that her marriage would fail.
If it weren't for the word limit, I'd keep going since this venue is truly a bride's worst nightmare. The owner is rude, unprofessional, and an absolute horror to deal with. I promise you'll regret it if you choose this venue.
