Steve and Tressa Reisetter, married in 1977, are co-leaders of Keep Moving and have been playing together professionally since 1976.

Steve played and sang in just about every type of ensemble you could name in school, college, grad school, and the US Navy Band. He taught public school music at every level for 36 years, and he holds Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees. His first musical memory is listening to Mom and Dad singing and harmonizing hymns in church and old pop tunes in the car.

In Keep Moving, Steve sings leads and harmonies and plays guitar, uke, bass, trumpet, trombone, clarinet, and percussion. He says, “I like to play dances BECAUSE IT’S SO MUCH MORE FUN when others are having the time of their lives, too! Why weddings? Marriage has worked well for me (Established 1977!). I believe and hope and pray it can work for others, too!”

As a child, Tressa would put on a stack of 45’s and sing and dance for hours. She was active in music groups and theater growing up and got Bachelor’s degrees in pre-Med and Music Composition. She taught while raising the couple’s two girls; then returned to school, earning a PhD in School Psychology/Neuropsychology.

In Keep Moving, Tressa sings leads and harmonies and plays guitar, uke, piano, and keyboards. She says, “A lot of the rock music we’ve played is relatively new to me, as I was one of those kids who listened more to Beethoven than The Doors. I didn’t realize how fun rock was until I started playing it!! Now that I’m semi-retired and living near our only grandchild, I have the time to get back into performing. It is SO fun!!! And I love sharing my happiness with others at gigs.”

Keith Lukens sings leads and harmonies and plays tenor and alto sax, flute, clarinet, and percussion. He grew up in Sioux City and went on to the University of Northern Iowa, where he earned a Bachelor’s in Music Education. Besides a career of teaching, he’s played in a myriad of jazz, rock, blues, and polka bands. It’s fun for him to play for people that are having fun. “It’s like I’m part of the party!”
