Facilities and Capacity

Lovely Day is a unique event space located in a 140-year-old former streetcar barn. Built in 1891, this barn was originally used to maintain train cars of the Grove Street Line. Many of the building’s original features are still present today, offering an industrial-chic vibe that sets the tone for a stylish event. The 25-foot vaulted ceilings enclose two separate celebration spaces, The Shop and The Car Barn, which are connected by an expansive outdoor courtyard. The Car Barn features a beautiful, deodar cedar-wood-topped bar and jewel-colored window coverings in the side room, creating a magical rainbow of natural light during the day. The star of The Shop is the hanging island garden and muraled wall. Throughout the evening, you and up to 500 guests can take a break from dancing to mingle under the courtyard’s 90-year-old black acacia tree.

As a former restaurant and catering company, this establishment has an on-site industrial kitchen that is equipped to serve large-scale events. This space can be utilized by outside caterers or the in-house team of experts. Couples can choose between a meal of California fusion, Pan Asian, or Mediterranean food served in one of three styles: pre-made bowls and boxes, buffet, or served.
