At a young age of 14 I took a school trip to Germany where I photographed my adventures and thus began my love of photography. Later in my teens my father gave me his Voigtlander 35mm camera and here is where I explored how lighting and composition affected the look and feel of my photography. For a majority of my professional career I was involved in the photography world from selling camera equipment, teaching photography classes, developing my work and yes capturing memories for families , wedding couples and children with my unique perspective on using light and composition to capture a moment that you can feel when you look at it. No two artistic expressions I produce are ever the same. It is important for me to allow the people I photograph interact with life activities to tell a story and represent the true essence of the individual. When a moment in front of me appears to be particularly special, whether it be by beauty or experience I capture it.
