We loved the location of the Main Transit Fire Hall, however they were very difficult to work with. It was tough to get the coordinator to return our phone calls. The worst part of our experience with the banquet hall was that our bartenders showed up a full 45 minutes after our reception started and our guests were left waiting that whole time with nothing to drink.

Same as all previous. Unprofessional. Unorganized. Very rude. There are better places for a formal wedding reception. I just wish we had looked elsewhere. Every person at our reception complained about the bartenders being rude and unwilling to make drinks. Many of the beverages I had purchased and dropped off earlier, where not even being served or found!!! ridiculous! Too bad because the space is very nice. But when coordinating, there was unnecessary stresses added with this place.

Not minority friendly

This is not a place of business for minorities. The overseer James Lawida also known as Jim communication was spotty during the entire process when he did respond. He wasn't very timely with anything and short with his communication. My number for my event went up to capacity and I paid the difference in full ahead of time. 35 days after my event, I received a letter from Jim with photos of "my event" where the trash was not taken to dumpster, food was left in trays, scotch tape were left on tables, and extra setup fee of $100 for extra 50 ppl. First, there was trash bags in the kitchen and a food tray left on caterer table. As far as scotch tape, there wasn't any used because I had velvet tablecloths, and I paid for the extra setup of 250 ppl 10 days in advance and had proof of the check image which I sent. This is an example of price gouging on minorities events when the penalty for leaving trash bags in kitchen would never be this steep for white counterparts. Not lying about tape on table when linen was used. There were no damages, there was no tape, the extra setup fee was paid, and they sent a Ietter 35 days later. Not taking the trash to the dumpster does not equal a $300 deposit when there was no damage. Be accountable and reasonable especially when you cant justify the fee and have to make it up. White facilities do things like this because they feel they can. To dissuade minorities from using their facilities when I am a resident of this communtiy. Main Transit Fire Hall do better. And stop price gouging minorities who frequent your business. BP go elsewhere and boycott this facility. Jim you are what's wrong with this country and you should be called out for your corrupt and prejudicial business practices! You have no ppl skills unless my complexion matches yours. No black dollars should EVER be spent here again.
