I found Jordan Rosenstein (Makeup by JoRo) on wedding wire and took a chance. I was looking for someone to help me as a single bride and so many agencies have high minimums and only want to do full wedding parties, especially in June on a Saturday. Jordan was willing to work with me on a wedding that was 8 months out. She is a true professional and took everything seriously from the initial conversations to her support on the day. But that was just the start!
We did a trial in March and when I sat in “her chair” – literally the kind they use on movie sets because that is also where she works – I felt like a star! She brought great lighting, even for the trial, and took detailed notes about everything we did. She encouraged me to go out and play and sweat and report back! She also wanted feedback about what I liked and did not like and kept tweaking until I loved it. She is humble and natural in her approach. Yes, she can glam you up and I did add eyelashes, but her true talent was in helping to enhance my natural beauty, so I felt like me!
Then, low and behold – as plans change and they do – we added Mom make up, Maid of Honor Hair and Make-up and Flower Girl Hair, all for a morning wedding! She didn’t miss a beat and started in one location at 5:30am moving to the venue at 8am and still finished everyone ahead of schedule! And everyone looked amazing and felt great!
A great part was also having her stay around for touch ups and to help during photos and before first dance. She was a God send! She was calm, which kept me calm, and even made sure I was drinking water! Her pro tips before the wedding were especially useful as well! She made me look and feel the best I have ever felt! My groom even teared up. And she helped my mom who is pushing 80 look and feel her best as well, even traveling 3+ hours round trip for a trial since Mom can’t drive. Wow!! I cannot imagine my wedding without her. And while I will never be married again, I won’t hesitate for some hair and make-up support the next time I have a special occasion!
