About Designer:

Michelle Valadon, brings forward in her designs the appreciation for the "mystery" of nature and of all things around us. Her intense background in graphic design and photography and her love of fashion influence her creations. She sees inspiration in the romance of the past, particularly in gothic architecture, organic forms of nature, ethereal feminine/romantic shapes and forms, and cutting edge styles. There is an importance to detail for each design that is created with a variety of the finest precious stones, diamonds, and variety of metals from silver to 18K gold. All designs are made in the USA.

Even as a young child, Michelle was drawn to beauty and the art that could be created by it. She saw art in every aspect of life from nature to architecture. Her sensitivity to this gives her the edge to feel and take creativity and design to a new level.
At the age of four, she picked up her first paintbrush. Feeling that something was not quite right with her finished painting she had her first dealings with perspective. This started her exploration into the world of art. She was fascinated by her mother and grandmother's jewelry and by the stones her grandmother used to set in designs as a hobby.

In high school, she heard about the new Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. She tried out for entrance to the prestigious school and was accepted into the visual arts program. She received her Bachelor's of Fine Arts degree from the renowned Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California with a major in graphic and packaging design. There she had focused on concept and design development.

After years of artistic positions in several fashion/home corporations as well as concept designing at graphic design firms and various freelance projects, she decided to explore her own design ideas. Realizing that a jewelry designer could work independently, it inspired her to explore the possibilities where she could use all her design skills. She also has devoted her time for her own photo shoots in visualized settings and styling for fashion and jewelry.
She has an eye for visualizing designs and trends for the upcoming future seasons. Knowing that jewelry and accessories are the very thing that can dress up a wardrobe and make any wardrobe more sophisticated, she found the perfect medium for her skills. To further her skills and knowledge in the jewelry industry she signed up for the jewelry course and gemological studies at the Gemological Institute of America. During this time, she experienced working in sales at jewelry stores in order to understand the client's needs and to learn the business.

Michelle resides in Southern California. She is building her business with the goal of bringing her jewelry designs to people and to have clients feel that when they put on a Michelle Valadon piece they can shine with beauty.
