Morgan Samuels Venue is a wedding destination in Canandaigua, New York. A property full of character, the manor lies at the heart of a spectacular country estate. Couples will fall for its country charm and upscale elegance, whilst appreciating its proximity to nearby Rochester and Syracuse.
Facilities and Capacity
Built in 1810, the stone manor of Morgan Samuels Venue was actually constructed using fieldstones from the surrounding estate. Its distinctive facade stood the test of time as the building and estate changed hands many times during the more than two centuries that followed. Guests will arrive via a long tree-lined driveway, that gives the estate a sense of grandeur. Its bountiful grounds offer many sites suitable for an outdoor ceremony. The expansive patio sports a remarkable fountain and is shaded by the boughs of many American chestnut trees. A tent can be erected on the spot for an upscale garden wedding party with the possibility of retreat into the main house. Inside up to 15 guests can stay for a wedding weekend in style. The house is defined by its historic tone and distinctive fixtures. The finest building materials were used throughout its construction and this shows in each of its rooms which feature walnut and mahogany floors. Decorated in period furniture, staying in the manor is like stepping back to a time of forgotten elegance. Various common areas offer the party space in which to enjoy each other’s company. Guests can relax in the library enjoying the warm glow from one of many fireplaces, or take in the sun from the comfort of its glass-enclosed porch. The venue also offers parking for guests arriving from out of town.
