My husband and I had both our wedding ceremony and reception at the Mt View County Club and it was an amazing experience. We felt that it was a real bargain, the staff were amazing to work with, and the location was beautiful.
We had originally thought of doing an outdoor wedding, but were struggling to find a venue that we felt was a good value. The wedding packages offered by the Mt View County Club were great. You essentially pay for the catering and get SO MUCH else included (e.g., dance floor, twinkle lights, tables and chairs, table cloths and linens, sound system, champagne toast, etc.). There are certain minimums you must meet though - 100 guest minimum on a Saturday and a food/drink cost minimum on other days. We ended up selecting a seated dinner with appetizers on a Friday, and got to do a free tasting to select the various pieces. The food was delicious and generous portions. They are great about accommodating dietary restrictions, of which our guests had quite a few. And there is 2 hours of open bar included in the package!
We worked primarily with Jennifer West, the sales and catering manager. She was really easy to work with, very responsive, and really knew what she was doing. It's great because she is also on site the day of to keep everything running smoothly. She worked with our DJ and we didn't have to worry about anything during the actual event except for having a great time!
The building looks like an old lodge - so its a lot of wood with high ceilings but also a lot of windows, so there was a lot of natural light. The ceremony took place out on the patio, which had an amazing view out onto the surrounding mountains. And the patio was switched over to cocktail tables for the reception so we were able to set up outdoor games (e.g., giant jenga) for people who didn't want to dance.
We had a very positive experience and would highly recommend this location to any couple looking for a wedding venue.
