Born in Sicily to an American Dad and Sicilian Mom, Nathania Reid was first exposed to the world of popular music as a little girl by watching the world famous San Remo music festival on Italian television. She was bit by the performing bug as a member of the chorus of the musical “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” as a teenager. A number of musicals followed, including “Anything Goes,” “Little Shop of Horrors,” and the lead role of Sandy in “Grease.”
During her college years, she sang and danced at Six Flags America. Then, upon graduation headed off to sail the world, singing and dancing on Norwegian Cruise Lines, with stops in Malta, Spain, Chile and South America. Returning to the States, she formed the Nathania Lind Quartet, finally getting to indulge in her love of vocal jazz, performing in clubs in Washington DC and the Baltimore area.
Since moving to Houston ten years ago to marry her high school sweetheart Joel, Nathania has played the lead role of Roxie in “Chicago,” sung the national anthem for the Houston Astros and has performed for the annual Lighting Of The Doves ceremony in North Houston. She has continued to perform in the Houston area as both as a solo artist and member of groups, singing jazz and pop, moving effortlessly between English, Italian and Spanish music.
